Why did this group form?
In response to the Irish government passing a budget that directly subsidises only particular forms of childcare, which goes to the childcare facility, not the parent. The tax system is already designed to disadvantage those who stay at home
Why is it important to show your support (see What Can I Do?)
Because the more the government subsidises childcare outside the home, the more the cost of living will go up – ensuring that no family will have the option to have a parent at home
Who are we?
We are a voluntary group of parents who have come together to try to ensure that stay-at-home childcare remains an option for those families who choose it. We support the right of all families to choose whatever form of childcare is right for their own particular situation.
